The Mahindra XUV 700 is believed to be the title of this Ssangyong Rexton. For its initial failure, Mahindra doesn’t want to label it Rexton.
This SUV was on exhibit at the 2018 Auto Expo, but it still had the Rexton badge on it.
The car’s internal code name is Y400. As per the rumours, the launch of the whole car had been delayed. The car will be released at a later date, but not on October 9th. Mahindra had decided to delay the launch of this SUV in the last week of October.
Mahindra and Mahindra have officially announced the launch of its all-new SUV, the Y400, on November 19th of this year.
It will be Mahindra’s most costly SUV on the market, more pricey than the XUV 500. The upcoming SUV will rank with the Ford Endeavour, Honda CR-V, Skoda Kodiaq, and Toyota Fortuner, among many others. This new SUV will exclusively compete against the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour.
The Mahindra XUV 700’s value will be much more aggressive attributed to the reason that it will have a home advantage. We assume it will end where the XUV500’s top model is available.
As a consequence, the price of this new SUV will range between 21 lakhs to 27 lakhs (ex-showroom).
This means the price will be cheaper than the competition by at least Rs 5-7 lakhs. This will contribute to the enthusiasm of the package. Because the XUV 700 is a Mahindra product, it will have access to a massive network.
Key Features of the Mahindra XUV 700
Although it’s a bit soon to be determined, we expect the Mahindra XUV 700 to be a functional SUV. It will also include an enhanced music system. A 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple Car Play, a reverse camera, and a sound command system would be included.
Furthermore, it will also include Seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, and maybe even hill descent regulation will be possible in terms of safety. This current SUV will also have several potential features. In the top base model, a panoramic sunroof will be available.
More features, like WiFi support and control front seats, would be accessible. There will also be projector headlamps and LEDs for daytime driving. The XUV 700 will hold Mahindra’s AWD model. It is, however, supposed to have a narrow choice.
It will be able to adequately cope with offloading as a consequence of this. Leather upholstery, an electric tailgate, and electrically folding third-row seats will all be accessible.

Second Row passengers could also get LED screens, making the XUV 700 a decent alternative for chauffeured cars. This, however, would only be possible on its most affordable items.
Safety Features of the Mahindra XUV 700 It consists of seven airbags, and also ABS with EBD, ESP, TC, and hill assist. In contrast to other Mahindra vehicles, the body reinforcements will be stronger. This will be a complete seven-seater, with plenty of leg space in the second and third sections. Both models will also have dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
The rivalry of Mahindra XUV 700
The Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner as well as the Isuzu MU-X will battle against this Mahindra SUV. These three SUVs would be Mahindra’s major rivals. Nevertheless, as a seven-seater SUV, the Skoda Kodiaq will be a rival.
Due to the high rate of localization, Mahindra will outbid the market in terms of pricing.
Because this is a highly localized product, this will have a low upfront cost and even lower additional costs than the competition. This will be a significant boost for Mahindra. The Mahindra XUV 700 will also strive to be efficient and reliable.
Usually, the fuel is supposed to get around 8 km/l and the diesel about 12 km/l. On the highway, it should return about 11 kilometres each litre, whereas the petrol should return about 14 kilometers every litre.
Rather than a hybrid, India would get an electric version, that will be available in many other markets. We expect the electric batteries’ capacity to be about 300 kilometers on a full charge, or at the very least, as the KUV 100 electric will have that capacity.
